Happy New Year, It's 2022 and it's already the middle of January!! 2021 was a year of many highs and lows for us as a family and I'm sure we're not the only ones. Overall I feel the year ended on a high and we made s0me great memories that we'll look back on fondly in years to come. In between restrictions we managed to travel to visit family in the Isle of Lewis and Norwich, as well as a trip to Edinburgh with friends, a few 40th birthday garden hot tub celebrations and a marathon in Lisbon....

Here we are again in another month. This time it's autumn and the leaves are falling from the trees. The colours are changing around us. The mornings are darker and the long days of summer appear to be behind us. It's the time of year I have a love/hate relationship with. On the one hand I love cosy evenings in, the smell and taste of autumn: pumpkin spice, sweet potato soup, hearty curries and mulled wine. On the other hand, I feel a wave of sadness for the colder days and having to wear shoes...

I want to start by stating the obvious. The best thing we can do for the planet is to NOT buy new clothing, give up fast fashion, swap what we have, wear what we have, repair, upcycle or buy second hand. This blog post isn't here to encourage shopping and it's not here to cast judgement. We are all human. We come to realisations at different stages of our lives when we are open to new information. Sustainability is a relatively new journey for me too and I am here to share what I'm learning for...

Today I want to share something that might be helpful for anyone considering starting a food business from home. This is based on the lessons I've learned since starting my refill nut milk business from home. It's two years in December since I had my lightbulb moment where I first considered making plant-based milks in refillable glass bottles. Since then I've learned a lot, made mistakes and met a lot of amazing people. It's only now (July 2021) when I'm on the brink of launching my milks that...

Happy month of May everyone. It's been a hot minute since I posted anything on here!! I hope that you're all well and looking forward to the impending changes from Monday in Scotland. I had my first dose of the Vaccine last week which I was not looking forward to but it wasn't as bad as I expected. I'm feeling a change in mood and more positive overall knowing that things are easing more into normality. Although I don't think any of us remember what normality was like before so it's a new type...

Happy March to you all. I hope life is treating you well. I haven't written a blog post in over two months and I can't believe the time has passed so quickly. After the Christmas lockdown announcement I found things quite overwhelming and if I am honest, I haven't felt inspired to write anything. It's been a strange time and I've tried to stay focussed on doing my best to be a good mum and get through each day. I've continued to progress through the accreditation process with my refill mylks...

Good morning friends, I hope that you're well. It's nearing the end of the year, which seems crazy. It feels like we have lost a few months somewhere along the way and 2020 has been a year like no other. I can't say I'm sad about this year ending but at the same time, I'm holding onto the good memories and connections I made despite the circumstances in which we found ourselves. Before I begin this blog post I want to stress that I'm not a nutritionist, nor an expert in supplements. This is...

Good day lovely friends... Today is a good day for a good day and a good day to talk all things plant myyyylk aka vegan mylk. It's spelled with a 'y' because of a legality, which means the word "milk" can't be used to refer to plant beverages within the European Union. The words 'milk', 'cheese', 'yoghurt' and 'butter' are reserved for animal products, with a few exceptions including 'peanut butter' and 'coconut milk'. I'm going to cover two things briefly in this post. The first is a little...

Hello everyone, and welcome to the August blog post. Something I learned about August is that it's apparently Happiness Happens Month, which is a whole month dedicated to celebrating what makes you happy. This is based on the fact that happiness is unlimited and contagious and sharing your happiness can bring joy to others. I don't know about you but I like the idea of sharing things that make me happy to help others!! It may be the final week of August but I am 100% behind anything to help...

I am so excited to share this post as I've LOVED trying out these new pestos and tapenades from Shore Seaweed Company. They immediately appealed to me because I love food that's flavourful and can quickly brighten up a dish and make cooking easy peasy for everyone, whether you're a keen home chef or not. Anyone who's been around a while will know I love nothing more than trying and sharing new foods I love. I set myself some really specific values when I started being approached by brands. I...
