Welcome to October everyone, I hope you enjoyed the last few weeks of September and this lovely sunshine in Scotland, which has now turned into rain. I am excited for autumn and jumping into the third trimester of our pregnancy and finally meeting our little baby. Today's Blog post is all about the wonderful island of Jersey, located near the Normandy coast in France. This was our baby moon (if you can still call it that when you already have a child). We loved exploring this little island as a...

Sometimes you don't appreciate what's on your doorstep until you get older... Many of my best childhood memories relate to smokey bonfires, damp sleeping bags, more than merry grown ups dancing to Bruce Springsteen and Runrig, a mist of midges, paddling in freezing cold crystal clear water and getting to stay up really late with my cousins. Growing up in Scotland we had countless adventures camping on the West Coast, Deeside, Perthshire and further afield. We were also fortunate to have annual...

Obviously it would be easier if we all ate the same things but I would be very surprised if any family with young children all eat the same things. I would love for my son to enjoy eating more vegetables and share my passion for plant-based living but he is only 5 and I think...

This is something I've been visualising doing for a long time and when I found out I'd be in London for our work Christmas party I decided it was time. I knew my sister would be 100% up for it too, as we both LOVE healthy food. There is quite literally nothing better than going somewhere with someone who appreciates it as much as you do. Eating delicious food is not just about the food itself, it's also about the company, atmosphere and conversation and I had it all going on is this photo!! The...

Living in the North East of Scotland, where we're best known for rowies/butteries (basically a flat croissant) and fish and chips, we have been slower than some cities to catch on to the healthy food band wagon. Whilst we don't quite have the same number of choices as Glasgow or Edinburgh, our granite city is slowly waking up to the demand for healthier and plant-based food. Having grown up in Aberdeen, I've seen a massive shift in the past 8-10 years and I want to share some of my favourite...
